Structural modeling of social and cultural factors affecting social harmony in Ahvaz metropolis

Abstract

Social harmony is one of the basic topics of sociology, which is studied in its various branches, including urban, rural, cultural, religious, ethnic, political, etc. sociology. Sociologists believe that human societies continue to exist when their members interact with each other based on a shared value. The main goal of this research is to structurally model social and cultural factors affecting social harmony in Ahvaz metropolis. The statistical population is all citizens of Ahvaz city and the sample size was 384 people using Cochran's formula and multi-stage cluster sampling method. Its statistical analysis steps have been done using SPSS23 and SmartPLS software. The research results showed that ethnic culture variables with path coefficient (0.640), lifestyle with path coefficient (0.164), feeling of relative deprivation with path coefficient (0.138), social responsibility with path coefficient (0.126) , social justice were confirmed with a path coefficient (0.114) at a significant level of more than 0.05, and respectively, they have had the greatest impact on the level of social harmony in Ahvaz metropolis.
