Abstract

Disputes caused by work and workers are one of the important social issues of the country in the last few decades. This phenomenon has been investigated in both cross-sectional and longitudinal studies. The main purpose of the present study was to examine the labor law of the eligible workers according to the socio-economic index of unemployment rate, GDP per capita, literacy rate, labor force participation rate, female labor force participation rate, inflation rate and urban population growth of the country. This research is of quantitative-longitudinal type, which was carried out by time series method and considered the relationship of variables in the period of 2000-2021. The required data have been collected from Iran Statistics Center, Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, Central Bank and World Bank. To investigate the short-term and long-term relationship, the autoregression model with distribution breaks has been used in Microfit software. Based on the results, in the long term, with the increase of urban population indicators and the labor force participation rate, the petitions received by the workers have increased, but with the increase in the GDP per capita, the literacy rate and labor force participation of women from the petitions The number of labor claims has decreased. In addition, the inflation rate and the unemployment rate have no significant relationship with the number of petitions received. In general, the research concludes that the workers-employers disputes are impacted by macro socioeconomic factors. While some macro indicators increase the workers-employers disputes, some decrease that.
