Abstract
The present study was designed and implemented with the aim of analyzing emerging identities and emerging harms among the youth of Tehran and strategies for dealing with them (with an emphasis on Article 77 of the Seventh Development Plan). The research is applied in terms of purpose, descriptive in terms of type, and causal in terms of method. Its technique is survey and the measurement tool is a questionnaire. The statistical population includes all young people aged 20 to 35 in Tehran, which, according to the information contained in the National Statistics Portal, was 3,278,929 people. The study sample consists of 327 young people in Tehran who were selected using a cluster method. Research questionnaires (nomophobia and social identity) were distributed and completed through Google Forms among the youth of Tehran. The results showed that the effect of nomophobia on the overall state of social identity is negative and significant. The effect of the youth's age on the dimensions of nomophobia and the overall state of nomophobia is not observed, but it has an effect on social identity and its dimensions. There is a positive and significant relationship between the inability to communicate and the individual dimension of social identity and the level of education of young people. However, there is no significant relationship between the loss of communication, lack of access to information, loss of comfort and convenience, general state of nomophobia, collective dimension of social identity, and general state of social identity. The results also showed that there is no significant difference in mobile phone phobia and its dimensions between single and married people, but social identity and its individual and collective dimensions are in a better state in married youth. Mobile phone phobia (and its dimensions) and social identity (and its dimensions) are not significantly different between employed and unemployed youth, as well as between education in the humanities and other fields.
